How I Wear It

Everyone is saying, “you’ve lost all the weight,”

“Totally bounced back,” and “you look great”

I stiffen.

Can they see the stress written all over my face?

I crack a joke just in case

“It’s like you’ve never had a baby”

Really?

That couldn't be the furthest thing from true,

Every single part of me feels completely new

I feel my skin wearing my reaction,

Emotions in red blotches; I hate these interactions

I stiffen.

Can they see the stress written all over my face?

I crack a joke just in case
